Archery

Archery this year will be conducted on a new archery field with provisions for younger archers. The main activity will be shooting the Royal Round, so if you need Royal Round scores, Panteria will provide an opportunity to shoot on three separate days for the three scores necessary to be listed on the rolls of the East Kingdom Royal Round scores.

There will also be a Panteria Challenge Shoot consisting of The Hanging Man, William Tell, Rolling Rabbit, and possibly Flying Bird Shoots on Saturday. Anyone competing in the Panteria Challenge probably should have arrows with rubber blunt tips and a few flu-flu arrows. If you can’t obtain them, there will be a few dozen 29-inch loaner arrows of each type at the event. The winner of the Challenge will receive a Quiver similar to the one pictured below.

We welcome novice and youth shooters on the range. If you don’t have your own equipment, (bow, arrows, armguard or finger protection) there will be plenty of loaner gear available. If you aren’t too sure if archery is for you, at least come by and watch. Then if you think you might like to try shooting, ask one of the Marshals (the folks that look like they are in charge) to help you get the right equipment and step up to the shooting line and shoot away.
