Heavy List Scenerio:
On Saturday afternoon Panteria 17 will recreate the Battle of Malden with a scenario battle with moving resurrection points, pitting the stalwart Saxon Hauscarls versus the ferocious Viking invaders.

Scenario Rules are as follows:

1.Individual fighters may choose to fight on either of the two sides, Saxon or Viking and may change sides between battles by seeing the marshals.

2. All weapons styles are allowed and fighters may change weapons forms as they wish. Use of spears and axes are encouraged. If two handed axes are used against a shield, three blows disable that shield. The shield is renewed with resurrection.

3. Each side will choose a leader, Bryhtnoth for the Saxons and Olaf Tryggvason for the Vikings. The battle will commence with Olaf demanding gold and amour and Bryhtnoth offering sword and spear points. The first battle will take place on a narrow causeway with the resurrection points being the island shore for the Vikings and the mainland shore for the Saxons. It will be a 15 minute timed battle with victory conditions being capture of the entire causeway by either side leading to the second scenario. If neither side has won by the time limit then Olaf will entreat that his warriors be allowed to come ashore and we will move to second scenario on the mainland shore.

4. The second scenario will be a resurrection field battle on the shore line either the island or the mainland depending on the victor in prior scenario. Resurrection point for the winners will be the end of the causeway and the losers with be at the edge of the defenders fortification. Fighters will be released in groups from the resurrections point at one minute intervals. This battle will have a 20 minute time limit with victory conditions being either side capturing the others resurrection point. If the defending side wins then we return to the causeway. If the attackers win then we move on to the fortification battle. If no winner is decided within the time limit, the scenario will be decided by a closing the resurrections points and then last man standing.

5. The final scenario will be an earthworks (hay bales) fortification battle or ship (hay bales) storming battle with a single entrance or plank, but with fighting over the earthworks or ships edge.  The plank to the long ship will be place with one end on the ground and the other on the hay bales. No striking is allowed while a fighter is on the plank only after the fighter has entered the ship at the end of the plank and is standing on the deck of the ship. It will be a 15 min resurrection battle with the defenders resurrection point the center of the fort or ships mast and the attacker's resurrection point being the edge of the field. Victory conditions will be capture of the fort or ship or the time limit being reached for the defenders. If the defenders win we return to the field.

6. If the fighting wears the combatants out with no clear winner being determined at the mutual consent of the leaders and the marshals the battle will be declared a draw.  Also if fighters wish to move to scenarios that have not been tried then with the consent of the leaders and marshals this can be done at anytime.

Sunday will be devoted to a three team capture the flag scenario in the woods with resurrection. Each team will have a fixed resurrection point and a mobile flag. Points are scored in this battle by capturing an opponents flag and returning it to your teams resurrection point. Upon a point being scored a hold will be called all flags will be returned to their starting points and fighters can rest and hydrate. Then the scenario will begin again. The winner is the team with the most points. Adjustments can be made to teams if needed during holds.
