They are normally held on the first Sunday of the month at the Worcester Town Hall, Worcester, Vermont starting at 12:00 noon. However, meeting times and places change from time to time. (Judi Tazelaar) Anyone interested in learning more about the Society for Creative Anachronism in general, or Panther Vale in particular, is welcome to attend. The meetings usually start with a pot luck lunch. Visitors are welcome to contribute to the lunch but a contribution is not necessary to attend. Directions to the Worcester Town Hall. From the south and west, drive to Montpelier and take VT Rt 12 north for about 8.8 miles. This will bring you to the center of Worcester. The Town Hall is on the right as you drive north. It is about 2/10th of a mile north of the LBJ's store and gas station and is at the intersection of Rt 12 and Calais Road. From
the
north, drive to Morrisville and take VT Rt 12 south for
about 17.5 miles. This will bring you to the center of
Worcester. The Town Hall is on the left as you drive
south and is at the intersection of Rt 12 and Calais
Road. If you reach LBJ's store and gas station, turn around
and backtrack about 2/10th of a mile to the Town Hall, which is now on

Barre-Montpelier area:Take your Washington
Street - US 302 heading eastward. Continue following US 302 for about
11 miles to junction of Rt 25 in Orange. Follow Rt 25 about 16.5 miles
to Bradford. Take I91 south about 13.5 miles to exit 14 and
Rt 113. Take Rt 113 west toward Chelsea about 1.5 miles and
Camp Farnsworth is on the right. From points south: Take I-91 north to exit 14 and Rt 113. Take Rt 113 west toward Chelsea about 1.5 miles and Camp Farnsworth is on the right. From points north: Take I-91 south to exit 14 and Rt 113. Take Rt 113 west toward Chelsea about 1.5 miles and Camp Farnsworth is on the right. Google Map for Camp Farnsworth Directions to Wheelock Town Hall From the Barre-Montpelier area:Take your best route to Rt 2 heading eastward toward St. Johnsbury. Just befor reaching St Johnsbury, take I-91 north toward Newport. Follow I91 fpr about 9.7 miles and exit it at Exit 24 At the end of the Exit 24 ramp turn right onto Rte 122 and follow it for about 3.8 Miles. The town hall is a large white building on the right with a gazeebo in the front park. There is a graveyard on the opposite side of the road. Google Map for the Wheelock Town Hall Directions to Goodrich Castle Take I89 to exit 4, Randolph. Turn west on Rt 66 (down the hill) and go about 1/2 mile to Fish Hill Road, which is on the left. Go out Fish Hill Road about 1/3 mile the Voghell Road, which is also on the left. Go up Voghell Road about 1/3 mile to the Csatle, which is (that's right) on the left.Google Map for Goodrich Castle Directions to Tom Dent Cabin Take your best route to the Norwich, VT exit (exit 13) on I91. At the end of the ramp turn east on VT Rt 10A toward Hanover. Cross the Connecticut River and immediately turn left at Tuck Drive which is the first side road. Travel about 100 feet and turn left on to Boathouse Road (There is no street sign, however and the Google map doesn't show the road accurately and calls it Tuck Drive). Follow Boathouse Road (it isn't marked with signs however)around the crew building (where they keep the rowing boats) to the end and park at the cabinGoogle Map for the Tom Dent Cabin, Hanover, NH Note that Boathouse Road is shown as a second Tuck Drive on the Google map. |
