(Judi Tazelaar) Anyone interested in learning more about the Society for Creative Anachronism in general, or Panther Vale in particular, is welcome to attend. The meetings usually start with a pot luck lunch. Visitors are welcome to contribute to the lunch but a contribution is not necessary to attend. Directions to the Worcester Town Hall. From the south and west, drive to Montpelier and take VT Rt 12 north for about 8.8 miles. This will bring you to the center of Worcester. The Town Hall is on the right as you drive north. It is about 2/10th of a mile north of the LBJ's store and gas station and is at the intersection of Rt 12 and Calais Road. From
the
north, drive to Morrisville and take VT Rt 12 south for
about 17.5 miles. This will bring you to the center of
Worcester. The Town Hall is on the left as you drive
south and is at the intersection of Rt 12 and Calais
Road. If you reach LBJ's store and gas station, turn around
and backtrack about 2/10th of a mile to the Town Hall, which is now on
your right. Directions to Christ Church, Montpelier 1. Take your best route to the Montpelier exit (No. 8) from I89. 2. Drive along Memorial Drive for about 0.8 miles to the second traffic light. 3. Turn left onto Bailey Avenue and drive about 0.2 to the traffic light. 4. Turn right on to State Street and drive about 0.4 miles. 5. Turn right just before getting to the church, which is partially hidden behind some trees, into the parking lot. 6. Drive past the Church, which will be on your left, and the church parking lot is just behind the church on your left. Street - US 302 heading eastward. Continue following US 302 for about
11 miles to junction of Rt 25 in Orange. Follow Rt 25 about 16.5 miles
to Bradford. Take I91 south about 13.5 miles to exit 14 and
Rt 113. Take Rt 113 west toward Chelsea about 1.5 miles and
Camp Farnsworth is on the right. From points south: Take I-91 north to exit 14 and Rt 113. Take Rt 113 west toward Chelsea about 1.5 miles and Camp Farnsworth is on the right. From points north: Take I-91 south to exit 14 and Rt 113. Take Rt 113 west toward Chelsea about 1.5 miles and Camp Farnsworth is on the right. Google Map for Camp Farnsworth Directions to Wheelock Town Hall From the Barre-Montpelier area:Take your best route to Rt 2 heading eastward toward St. Johnsbury. Just befor reaching St Johnsbury, take I-91 north toward Newport. Follow I91 fpr about 9.7 miles and exit it at Exit 24 At the end of the Exit 24 ramp turn right onto Rte 122 and follow it for about 3.8 Miles. The town hall is a large white building on the right with a gazeebo in the front park. There is a graveyard on the opposite side of the road. Google Map for the Wheelock Town Hall Directions to Goodrich Castle Take I89 to exit 4, Randolph. Turn west on Rt 66 (down the hill) and go about 1/2 mile to Fish Hill Road, which is on the left. Go out Fish Hill Road about 1/3 mile the Voghell Road, which is also on the left. your best route to
the Norwich, VT exit (exit 13) on I91. At the end of the
ramp turn east on VT Rt 10A toward Hanover. Cross the
Connecticut River and immediately turn left at Tuck Drive which
is the first side road. Travel about 100 feet and
turn left on to Boathouse Road (There is no street sign, however and
the Google map doesn't show the road accurately and calls it Tuck
Drive). Follow Boathouse Road (it isn't marked with
signs however)around the crew building (where they keep the rowing
boats) to the end and park at the cabin

Directions to Collis Center Take your best route to the Norwich, VT exit (exit 13) on I91. At the end of the ramp turn east on VT Rt 10A toward Hanover. Cross the Connecticut River and continue to the first traffic light. Collis Center is on the left. However, to reach it you will need to drive around the common. Parking can be tricky. There are spots by the Green (common), but also behind Collis.Google Map for the Collis Center, Hanover, NH ; Directions to King George School in Sutton, VT : (Adapted from the School's website) If you plan on using a navigational system (GPS) or internet directions (mapquest), please STOP! You need to follow the directions listed below or you will be sent onto Hard Scrabble Road. Hard Scrabble Road is not a maintained road. Take your best route to I91 in the St Juhnsbury area. Take Exit 23 off I-91N – Lyndonville, Burke, Route 5 North. Take a right at the bottom of the exit ramp onto RT. 5 N Follow RT. 5 N through the town of Lyndonville. The road winds through the downtown area, but is well marked. Continue to the edge of town (less than a mile.) You will come to an intersection with stoplights. This is the intersection of Routes 122, 5, and 114. Go straight through the lights to stay on RT 5 N. Continue on RT 5 N for 2.7 miles. You will travel through the flats, then start to go down a hill. At the bottom of the hill, turn left onto Calendar Brook/Sutton Road. There is a triangle of grass/snow by the turn off. Follow Calendar Brook Road for 5.2 miles. This will bring you into the town of Sutton (Calendar Brook Road turns into Underpass Road in front of the firehouse in the center of town). You will go up the hill to the right of the firehouse. Follow this road for about .5 miles until you see a dairy farm on your right. Take the first left after that farm onto the King George Farm Road (Note: this is a maintained winding dirt road). Follow King George Farm Road for about 1.5 miles – when you come to a fork in the road, turn left. After the fork in the road, the school is approximately 3 miles out. The school looks like a farm. The Admissions Office is in the white house on the right. Parking is located in front of the building or across the street at the educational building. Arts and Sciences (A&S)
meetings are held immediately following a Shire business meeting.
This is arranged ahead of time by one of the artisans of the
Shire. Some times the meeting is designed to provide the
Shire or
the Kingdom with some useful product, such as tokens for a
local event or scrolls for kingdom awards. At other times,
these meeting are an opportunity for one of the members to teach a
class that is of interest to other members. More detail about
next month's A&S activity may be available in the meeting
section in the upper left corner of the Home

2. Continue onto Berlin St (US-Rte2) for 0.5 miles. 3. Slight left onto River St (US-Rte2) for 1.2 miles. 4. At the traffic circle, continue straight to stay on River St (US-Rte2) 0.2 miles. 5. River Street becomes onto E. Montpelier Rd (US-Rte2). Travel another 4.7 miles. 6. At the blinking light just above E. Montpelier, go straight ahead onto VT-14 N for 2.2 miles. The Orchard Valley School will be on the left. From Barre: From the corner of Main Street (VT-Rte 14), Maple Street (VT-Rte 14), and VT-Rte 62 1. Head northeast on Maple Ave (VT-Rte 14) toward Corti St for 0.4 miles
2. Turn right onto Maple Ave (VT-Rte 14) for 4.7 miles 3. Turn right onto US-2 E/VT-14 N for 0.2 mlies through E. Montpelier. 4. At the blinking light go straight ahead onto VT-14 N for 2.2 miles.
