Arts and Sciences Meetings:

Generally, Arts and Sciences (A&S) meetings are held immediately following a Shire business meeting.  This is arranged ahead of time by one of the artisans of the Shire.  Some times the meeting is designed to provide the shire or the Kingdom with some useful product, such as tokens for a local event or scrolls for kingdom awards.  At other times, these meeting are an opportunity for one of the members to teach a class that is of interest to other members.  More detail about next month's A&S activity may be available in the meeting section in the upper left corner of the Home page.

In the past the topics have included: scroll making (illumination and calligraphy), silk painting, pewter casting, making medieval shoes, fletching (arrow making), naal binding (early Norse knitting), brewing, cooking, singing, and dancing.
