Shire MeetingsPanther Vale Business MeetingsThe Shire of Panther Vale holds monthly business meetings. They are normally held on the first Sunday of the month at the Worcester Town Hall, Worcester, Vermont starting at 12:00 noon. However, meeting times and places change from time to time. For up-to-date information, please go to the Meetings section of the Home page or contact the Panther Vale Seneschal; Lady Siubhan Wallace (Judy Tazelaar) Anyone interested in learning more about the Society for Creative Anachronism in general, or Panther Vale in particular, is welcome to attend. The meetings usually start with a pot luck lunch. Visitors are welcome to contribute to the lunch but a contribution is not necessary to attend. Google Map for the Worcester Town Hall
Arts and Sciences Meetings:Generally,Arts and Sciences (A&S) meetings is held immediately following a Shire business meeting. This is arranged ahead of time by one of the artisans of the Shire. Some times the meeting is designed to provide the shire or the Kingdom with some useful product, such as tokens for a local event or scrolls for kingdom awards. At other times, these meeting are an opportunity for one of the members to teach a class that is of interest to other members. More detail about next month's A&S activity may be available in the meeting sectipon of the Home page. In the past the topics have included: scroll making (illumination and calligraphy), silk painting, pewter casting, making medieval shoes, fletching (arrow making), naal binding (early Norse knitting), brewing, and cooking. |
