Panther Vale Fencing Practices


Panther Vale has two convenient site for Panther Valians to practice Fencing, in our own shire in Randolph, VT and at the College of Knotty Crossing in Hanover, NH.  More details of the activities at each site are outlined below.


Randolph Fencing

The Marshal of Fence who sponsors the fencing practices in Randolph is:

Randolph Fencing practices are held as part of a multidisciplinary practice involving Archery, Fencing, Heavy List, and Youth Combat.   

Everyone is welcome to come and try their hand at medieval fencing.  We have rapiers, face masks, and other fencing gear available to loan to visitors who may not have their own equipment. So anybody who would like to try their skills at poking people is welcome to do so in a safe manner.

Practices will be held starting at 2:00 pm on the 4th Sundays of the month at the Goodrich Homestead just off Interstate Highway 89 in Randolph.  The directions to the practice site are available on Robert Toxophilus' web site.


Hanover Fencing

The Panther Vale Marshal of Fence who co-sponsors the fencing practices in Hanover is:

Hanover practices are held on Thursdays, late afternoon, from 5 to 7pm on the Hanover green, by the Dartmouth campus. We will be there during the good season unless it rains (in that case, we will be inside, contact the Marshal for the location).

Inn at Knotty Crossing

On Sunday August 24, the Inn at Knotty Crossing will have a potluck dinner at the Dartmouth Outing Club (DOC) building at the north end of Occom Pond in Hanover, NH  from about 3pm until it is over.  (The address is Hilton Field Lane and can be easily found with either Google Maps or Map Quest.)  Therfore, the fencing practice will move from Randolph to the DOC building in Hanover on August 24.
